Xiaolan Li Killed in Accident in Saratoga, CA

Saratoga, CA -- Xiaolan Li, 51, was identified as a victim in a Google tech bus and a pedestrian on the campus of West Valley College about 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2017.

It is believed the victim, Mrs. Li, was walking home from her job at a retirement center when she was hit by the Google-owned bus. The bus allegedly turned from Fruitvale Avenue to Athletics Way when the collision happened. Mrs. Li was transported to Valley Medical Center, but her injuries proved to be fatal. The bus that struck the victim is alleged to be owned by Google, who utilize the bus service to transport workers between the college and its campus.

Officials are currently investigating the details of the crash in the hopes of determining the cause.
