Rockport, TX -- December 27, 2016, a toddler sustained injuries following an accident where a vehicle hit the child along Highway 35 outside a home.

Rockport emergency crews were called to a residence around 9:00 p.m. just off of Highway 35. When they arrived, they found a toddler with serious injuries.

According to their preliminary investigations, the toddler somehow entered the roadway in front of the home. A driver did not see the child in time, and the vehicle hit the child.
