Bruce Krost Killed in Work Accident in Jacksonville, FL

Jacksonville, FL -- An industrial work incident at Wheel-1 Inc. claimed the life of 74-year-old Bruce Kost in Jacksonville, FL Monday, January 2, 2017.

Officials say the deceased victim was operating a scissor life when the incident occurred. It appears Mr. Kost, the owner of Coastal Lighting Service and Supply, was replacing halogen lighting when he fell from the lift. Mr. Kost reportedly slipped over the edge, tumbling at least 30 feet, hitting his head on the concreted floor below. Mr. Kost was transported to a local hospital, but succumbed later that evening.

The cause of the incident is unclear, but it is claimed the lift suffered a mechanical failure.

Officials are currently conducting the investigation into the deadly incident.

The report provided no further information regarding the man's death.
