Three Hurt in Truck Accident on U.S. 77 in Victoria, TX

Victoria, TX -- A two-vehicle collision on U.S. 77 in Victoria, TX left three unidentified people with injuries Monday, December 2, 2017.

It appears an SUV collided with a tractor-trailer near Farm-to-Market Road 445. The Ford reportedly blew a front tire, causing it to careen across the median. As the SUV was veering out of control, it eventually side-swiped a passing semi-truck.

The SUV subsequently ended up under the semi, crashed into the truck's rear axle, and knocked it from the truck. This collision forced the semi-truck off the roadway.

The driver of the SUV was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries described as "critical." Two of the SUV's female passengers were taken to a local hospital after sustaining serious injuries in the incident.

The official investigation is ongoing and may reveal more details as it concludes.

The media report left no more information regarding the incident.
