5 Injured in San Antonio, TX, 3-Vehicle Accident on Nacogdoches

San Antonio, TX -- December 31, 2016, five people were injured following an accident where three vehicles collided on Nacogdoches Road.

San Antonio Police officers received an emergency call around 11:00 a.m. about an accident that occurred at the intersection of Nacogdoches Road and La Posita Street.

Investigators indicate that roadways were slick at the time due to recent rainy weather. This contributed to a pickup losing control and skidding across the road. It crashed into one car before bouncing off and hitting another one.

The occupants of all three vehicles required extrication by emergency crews due to the collision. One person from the pickup was seriously injured and taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center. The others had non-critical injuries. It's unclear whether or not they went to the hospital.

Authorities did not report any charges or citations resulting from the accident. Their investigations are ongoing.
