Man Killed in Alleged DUI Accident on Otter Lake Rd. in Deerfield Twp., MI

Deerfield Township, MI -- An alleged single-vehicle DUI crash on Otter Lake Road claimed the life of an unidentified man Sunday, December 1, 2017 in Deerfield Twp., MI.

It appears the 21-year-old victim was eastbound on Otter Lake Road when the vehicle veered out of control. The man's Pontiac reportedly crashed into a ditch, killing the man at the scene. Police claim they believe the 6 a.m. crash may have involved intoxicants and excessive speed. The man's identity had yet to be disclosed at the time of the report.

Officials are currently investigating the deadly incident in the hopes of determining the actual cause.

The preliminary media report regarding the single-vehicle crash provided no further information.
