Wonda Brock, Jordan Rathjen Killed in Burleson Co., TX, Accident

Burleson County, TX -- December 30, 2016, Wonda Brock and Jordan Rathjen were killed following an accident where two vehicles crashed head-on.

Troopers from the Department of Public Safety stated that the accident occurred around 6:45 p.m. on FM 60, west of TX-36 near the town of Frenstat.

Investigators report that 26-year-old Rathjen was driving westbound down the highway in a car. 63-year-old Brock was a passenger in a minivan that was traveling eastbound. As the two vehicles crossed paths, they somehow collided head-on.

Emergency services rushed to the scene to render assistance, but Rathjen died at the scene. Brock's injuries were critical, and she died while being transported to the hospital. It's unclear if anyone else was injured.

Officials have not yet indicated what caused the accident to occur. Their investigations are ongoing.
