Lubbock Police officials told news outlets that the fatal accident occurred at the intersection of FM 2641 and County Road 1700. Authorities indicate that a white Ford Mustang had been stolen from Pollard Ford at some point before the accident.

The driver of the stolen Ford reportedly ran the stop sign at the intersection, crossing paths with another car and causing the two vehicles to crash head-on.
