One Killed in Accident on Route 460 in Prince George County, VA

Prince George County, VA -- An incident involving a semi and a pickup truck claimed the life of an unidentified driver Monday, January 2, 2017.

It appears the pickup and semi-truck were traveling in the area of 8700 County Drive about 1:30 a.m. when the incident occurred. Officials described the deadly incident as a head-on collision. The report claims one of the drivers was killed, though authorities had yet to disclose which vehicle the victim was operating. The collision left a portion of the County Drive closed for several hours.

The cause of the crash is unclear.

The official investigation is ongoing and may reveal more details as it concludes.
