Man Injured in Edinburg, TX, Hit-and-run Accident on McColl

Edinburg, TX -- December 25, 2016, a man was injured due to an accident where a vehicle crashed into his car on McColl Road and attempted to flee.

Edinburg Police were called to the intersection of McColl Road and University Drive at about 8:00 p.m.

When police arrived, they found that a man was trapped inside of his vehicle following a two-car collision. The car that struck that man's vehicle reportedly attempted to flee the scene but was stopped shortly afterward.

The man who was trapped sustained injuries, though reports did not specify how severe they were. The other driver's condition was not reported.

Authorities mentioned that alcohol may have played a role in the accident, but no confirmations have been made at this time.

Investigations are still underway.
