1 Injured in Truck Accident on N. Redwood Rd. in Salt Lake City, UT

Salt Lake City, UT — February 8, 2024, one person was injured in a truck accident shortly after 10:15 a.m. along N. Redwood Road.

According to authorities, the accident took place on North Redwood Road in the vicinity just north of North Temple Street.

Officials indicate that a box truck attempted to make a U-turn at an unsafe time, resulting in a collision with a pickup truck. The crash caused the box truck to veer off of the roadway and collide with a building. The occupant of the box truck incurred injuries of unknown severity and was transported to a medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive treatment. No other injuries have been reported.

The weather and road conditions in the area at the time have not been specifically reported on; however, photographs of the scene which have been published in the news depict apparently wet roads. Additional details pertaining to this incident—including the identities of those involved—are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
