Amirali Rajwani Killed, 1 Injured in Car Accident in Fort Bend County, TX

Fort Bend County, TX — January 5, 2024, Amirali Rajwani was killed and one person was injured after a car accident at around 11:15 p.m. on Highway 6.

Authorities said in their preliminary statements that the crash happened in the area of Highway 6 and West Bellfort Avenue.

According to officials, 62-year-old Amirali Rajwani was in a Toyota Corolla going westbound along Bellfort. While crossing through the Highway 6 intersection, authorities say a southbound Dodge Ram ran the light and crashed into Rajwani's vehicle. Rajwani was fatally injured as a result of the collision.

The Dodge driver had moderate injuries. Police allege that driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. It's unclear if any official charges were filed. No further information is available right now.
