Zachary Newberry Killed in Car Accident in Garland, TX

Garland, TX — November 22, 2023, Zachary Newberry was killed in a car accident just after 12:00 midnight along Oates Road.

According to reports, 21-year-old Zachary Newberry was traveling in an eastbound Infinity along Oates Road in the vicinity east of Duck Creek Drive when the accident occurred.

Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the Infinity veered to the right and mounted the curb before completely leaving the roadway. The vehicle then slid down an embankment before overturning, rolling an unknown number of times across a grassy area and the southbound lanes of Duck Creek Drive before colliding with the center median and coming to rest in the northbound lanes of Duck Creek.

Newberry was ejected from the vehicle during the crash, according to reports. He incurred fatal injuries as a result of the wreck and was declared deceased at the scene.

Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
