Alejandro Del Bosque Jr. Killed in Truck Accident on U.S. 77 in Willacy County, TX

Willacy County, TX — January 23, 2024, Alejandro Del Bosque Jr. was killed in a truck accident shortly before 5:30 a.m. along U.S. Highway 77.

According to authorities, the accident took place on U.S. 77 at the Farm to Market 1762 overpass.

The causal factors that led to the accident are still unclear. Preliminary reports state that, for as yet unknown reasons, the 18-wheeler failed to safely maintain its lane of travel, driving off of the side of the overpass, as a result. Alejandro Del Bosque Jr.—age 61—incurred reportedly fatal injuries due to the accident; he was declared deceased at the scene.

The weather and road conditions in the area at the time have not been reported on. Additional details regarding this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
