Eric Mahaffey Killed in Truck Accident on Crosby Freeway in Harris County, TX

Harris County, TX — January 18, 2024, Eric Mahaffey was killed as the result of a motorcycle versus truck accident at around 2:00 p.m. on the Crosby Freeway.

Authorities said in preliminary statements that the incident happened in the area of Crosby Freeway/U.S. 90 and Miller Road.

It appears that Eric Mahaffey was on a motorcycle on Miller Road. Details say that Mahaffey was attempting to make a turn when a tanker truck crashed into the motorcycle. As a result, Mahaffey sustained fatal injuries. There did not appear to be any other confirmed injuries.

Currently, additional details surrounding the collision cannot be confirmed without more thorough investigations. The Harris County Sheriff's Office has yet to release additional information.
