Rosa Montes, Milagros Iturriaga Injured in Truck Accident in Harris County, TX

Harris County, TX — December 13, 2023, Rosa Montes and Milagros Iturriaga were injured following an 18-wheeler accident at 1:15 a.m. on the Northwest Freeway.

Details at this time say the crash happened along eastbound lanes of U.S. Highway 290 near Mason Road in the area of Cypress.

According to officials, 62-year-old Rosa Montes and 88-year-old Milagros Iturriaga were in a Honda Accord traveling on the Northwest Freeway. While doing so, however, police say an 18-wheeler also going eastbound somehow crashed into the back of the Honda. That 18-wheeler then left the scene.

Both Montes and Iturriage were said to have possibly minor injuries due to the crash. Authorities say they later located the truck, identified the driver, and issued a charge for failure to stop and render aid. Right now, additional details are unavailable.
