Jacob Portillo, 2 Injured in Car Accident in El Paso, TX

El Paso, TX — November 26, 2023, Jacob Portillo and two others were injured following a multi-car accident at around 2:30 a.m. along I-10.

Preliminary information about the accident says that it happened in the area of Lee Trevino Drive and I-10.

According to officials, 43-year-old Jacob Lee Portillo was in a Chevy Malibu going eastbound along the interstate. Up ahead, there was a vehicle blocking the lane of travel because, according to police, a drunk driver crashed their car into the barrier at the Lee Trevino exit. As a result, Portillo's vehicle crashed into the disabled car. Following this, a third vehicle crashed into debris left by the accidents.

Portillo and the driver of the first vehicle that crashed both reportedly had non-serious injuries while the third driver reportedly refused transportation from the scene. Right now, charges are not confirmed pending additional statements from authorities.
