Walter Rickels Injured in Car Accident in Fort Worth, TX

Fort Worth, TX — December 15, 2023, Walter Rickels was injured following a car accident that happened around 11:20 p.m. on Interstate 20.

Preliminary information about the accident says that it happened along westbound lanes of I-20 where it crosses F.M. 2871/Chapin School Road.

According to officials, 54-year-old Walter Rickels was in a Dodge Ram truck traveling along I-20. In a series of events not entirely confirmed, the Dodge reportedly went to the left and somehow hit the guardrail. This caused the Dodge to overturn on the median between the eastbound and westbound lanes at F.M. 2871. Another vehicle then hit parts of the guardrail in the road following the initial accident.

As a result of the crash, Rickels reportedly had serious injuries. It doesn't appear that anyone else was hurt. Right now, no further information about the accident is available.
