Maria Sacramento Ambriz Reyes Killed, Krystal Sanchez Injured in Car Accident in Houston, TX

Houston, TX — December 24, 2023, Maria Sacramento Ambriz Reyes was killed while Krystal Sanchez was injured in a car accident just after 5:30 a.m. along Gulf Freeway.

According to authorities, 67-year-old Maria Sacramento Ambriz Reyes was traveling in a southbound Mitsubishi Endeavor on Gulf Freeway, I.H. 45, approaching the Griggs Road overpass when the accident took place.

For unknown reasons, the Endeavor reportedly went into a spin, resulting in a collision with a Chrysler occupied by 35-year-old Krystal Sanchez. The Endeavor was also struck by a Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck. Both Reyes and Sanchez incurred injuries as a result of the incident; they were transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive treatment. Reyes, however, succumbed to her injuries, having been declared deceased at the hospital. No other injuries were reported.

The accident is under investigation by local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time were reported to have been rainy and wet. There are not currently any additional details available pertaining to this incident.
