For reasons yet to be confirmed, the Explorer was allegedly traveling at speeds deemed unsafe for the curve in the road. The vehicle reportedly began veering left; it was then over corrected to the right. The passenger side tires the apparently left the roadway, entering the grassy area on the right-hand side of the road before the vehicle was again overcorrected to the left. This action caused the Explorer to roll to its right, becoming airborne and landing on its roof on top of a parked, unoccupied Ford F-150 before sliding to the ground. It came to rest on its roof on the left side of the pickup truck.

Herrington, the sole occupant of the Explorer, reportedly sustained suspected severe injuries as a result of the accident. He was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive immediate treatment.

The cause of the accident is under active investigation by local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time are reported to have been clear and dry. There are not currently any additional details available pertaining to this incident.
