1 Injured in Truck Accident on F.M. 99 in Live Oak County, TX

Live Oak County, TX — November 5, 2023, one person was injured in a truck accident just after seven o'clock in the morning along Farm to Market 99.

According to reports, 22-year-old man was traveling in a westbound 18-wheeler along F.M. 99 just east of the F.M. 414 intersection when the accident occurred.

The roadway makes a 90 degree turn to the north in that vicinity. For unknown reasons, the 18-wheeler was unable to negotiate that curve safely. The vehicle overturned, rolling off of the roadway and coming to a rest on the driver's side on the east side of the roadway.The 22-year-old—whose identity has yet to be confirmed—incurred severe injuries as a result of the accident. He was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive treatment.

The causal factors of the accident are under investigation by local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time were reportedly foggy with dry roads. There are not currently any additional details available pertaining to this incident.
