1 Injured in Truck Accident on I-15 in Lehi, UT

Lehi, UT — November 15, 2023, one person was injured in a truck accident sometime in the evening along Interstate 15.

According to authorities, a Chevy Malibu was traveling in the northbound lanes of I-15 between Main Street in American Fork and Main Street in Lehi when the accident took place.

For unknown reasons the Malibu swerved out of the lane of travel and collided with the concrete wall before veering back into northbound traffic and striking the side of an 18-wheeler. The semi truck reportedly did not stop as a result of the the collision; it continued north on the interstate without stopping to render aid of any sort. The occupant of the Malibu—whose identity has not been made public—reportedly had to be extricated from the wreckage before being transported to a local hospital by emergency medical services in order to receive treatment for serious injuries incurred as a result of the accident.

The cause of the accident is under active investigation by local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time of the accident have not been reported on. There are no additional details available at this point.
