1 Injured in Car Accident on South Jacksboro Street in Chico, TX

Chico, TX — November 3, 2023, one person was injured in a car accident just before 10:30 at night along S. Jacksboro Street.

According to reports, a 22-year-old man was traveling in an eastbound Dodge Ram pickup truck in the vicinity of the N. McCracken Street intersection when the accident occurred.

For reasons yet to be confirmed, the pickup veered right and off of the roadway before momentarily recovering. After returning to the roadway, the pickup again steered right and off of the roadway where it collided with a roadside tree and came to a stop. The 22-year-old—whose identity has not yet been made public—reportedly incurred severe injuries as a result of the crash. He was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive treatment.

The causal factors of the accident are still under investigation by local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time were reportedly clear and dry. There are no additional details available pertaining to this incident at this point in time.
