1 Injured in Car Accident on Verdi Road in Atascosa County, TX

Atascosa County, TX — November 3, 2023, one person was injured in a single-car accident just before ten o'clock at night along Verdi Road.

According to reports, a 34-year-old woman was traveling in an eastbound Toyota Avalon along Verdi Road just east of the I-37 overpass when the incident occurred.

For reasons yet to be confirmed, the Toyota lost control in an attempt to negotiate a right-hand curve in the road. It drove off of the left side of the road and collided with several trees in a wooded area about 100 feet off of the roadway. The 34-year-old—whose identity has yet to be made public—incurred severe injuries as a result of the crash and was transported to a local hospital by emergency medical services in order to receive treatment.

The cause of the accident is still under active investigation by local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time were reportedly clear and dry. There are not currently any additional details available pertaining to this incident.
