Darla Kay Degler Killed, 1 Injured in Car Accident in Tioga, TX

Grayson County, TX — April 14, 2023, Darla Kay Degler was killed and one person was injured following a car accident at around 8:49 a.m. along U.S. Highway 377.

Investigators said that the two-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of U.S. 377 and Hinton Street.

According to officials, 55-year-old Darla Degler was in a Nissan Versa going northbound along the highway. At the Hinton Street intersection, it's alleged that a Mazda driven by a 19-year-old failed to yield and pulled out in front of Degler. The two vehicles collided a as result.

Degler sustained injuries that eventually proved to be fatal. The other driver reportedly had incapacitating injuries. Right now, additional details about the crash are unavailable.
