5 Injured in Truck Accident on Route 100 in Chester County, PA

Chester County, PA — November 13, 2023, five people were injured in a truck accident around 11:00 in the evening along State Route 100.

According to reports, an 18-wheeler towing a trailer was stopped at the intersection of Pottstown Pike and Gordon Drive.

For unknown reasons, a Kia Optima collided with the rear-end of the trailer. The five occupants of the Kia—whose identities have not been made public—were pinned inside; emergency workers had to extract them before they could be transported to local medical facilities by emergency medical services for treatment of injuries incurred during the accident.

The cause of the accident is still under active investigation by the local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time have not been reported on. No additional details are currently available pertaining to this incident.
