1 Injured in Truck Accident on Hwy. 40 in Marion County, FL

Marion County, FL — November 14, 2023, one person was injured in a truck accident just after 11 o'clock in the morning along Highway 40.

According to authorities, the accident took place at the intersection of SE 174th Court and E Hwy. 40.

The accident involved a minivan and an 18-wheeler with a trailer in tow. The sole occupant of the minivan had to be extricated from the vehicle by emergency workers before they could be transported to a local medical facility for immediate treatment of injuries incurred as a result of the accident. There were no other injuries reported in connection with this incident.

The causal factors of the crash are under active investigation by local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time of the accident were not specifically reported on, but photographs of the scene which have been published by the Marion County Fire Rescue clearly show cloudy skies and wet roads.
