Delfino Acosta-Contreras Killed in Truck Accident in Odessa, TX

Odessa, TX — November 14, 2023, Delfino Acosta-Contreras was killed in a truck accident just after 6 o'clock in the morning along East Loop 338.

According to reports, Delfino Acosta-Contreras—age 64—was traveling in a westbound passenger vehicle on Hammett Drive approaching the East Loop 338 intersection when the accident took place.

For unknown reasons, the vehicle neglected to stop at the stop sign, continuing into the intersection where it collided with the trailer being towed by an International. The vehicle then veered into the southbound lanes of East Loop 338 where it was struck by a Freightliner which had also been towing a trailer. Acosta-Contreras was declared deceased at the scene of the accident.

The causal factors of the accident are under investigation by local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time of the accident have not been reported on. No additional details are currently available pertaining to this incident.
