1 Injured in Motorcycle Accident on C.R. 4212 in Newton County, TX

Newton County, TX — October 20, 2023, one person was injured in a motorcycle accident just after 7:45 in the evening along C.R. 4212.

According to reports, a 39-year-old man—whose identity has not been confirmed—was traveling on a westbound motorcycle on C.R. 4212 in the vicinity of private road 8113 when the accident occurred.

For reasons yet to be confirmed, the motorcycle allegedly lost control, ejecting the driver who landed half on the road and half in the ditch. The motorcycle veered off of the right side of the road, coming to rest in the north ditch beside the roadway. The 39-year-old reportedly incurred severe injuries as a result of the accident; he was transported to a local hospital by emergency medical services in order to receive treatment.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation by local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time of the accident were reportedly clear and dry. No additional information is currently available pertaining to this incident.
