Maher Berenji, Arash Berenji Killed, 1 Injured in Car Accident in Bexar County, TX

Bexar County, TX — July 2, 2023, Maher Berenji and Arash Berenji were killed and one person was injured after a car accident at around 1:35 p.m. on Talley Road.

Officials said in their preliminary statements that the crash happened near the intersection of Talley Road and Medio Drive.

According to investigations, 19-year-old Maher Berenji, 18-year-old Arash Berenji, and an unidentified 21-year-old were in a Chevy Camaro going northbound on Talley. Reportedly while passing other vehicle, the vehicle somehow lost control, causing the vehicle to run off-road where it hit several objects and overturned.

Due to the crash, Maher and Arash Berenji sustained fatal injuries. The third occupant had injuries described as incapacitating. No other injuries have been reported, and the factors surrounding the accident are still under investigation.
