1 Injured in Truck Accident along I.H. 610 in Houston, TX

Houston, TX — October 20, 2023, one person was injured in a truck accident just before 1 p.m. along Interstate Highway 610.

According to reports, a 33-year-old woman was traveling in an eastbound Hyundai Accent along Interstate Highway 610 near Ella Boulevard when the accident occurred.

Allegedly, an 18-wheeler was stalled in the same lane of travel as the Hyundai. For unknown reasons, the Hyundai collided with the rear-end of the trailer of the 18-wheeler. The collision caused the Hyundai to then spin out, leading to a secondary collision with a Toyota Rav4. The 33-year-old in the Hyundai reportedly sustained severe injuries as a result of the accident. She was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services for treatment. No other injuries were reported in connection with this accident.

The causal factors of the accident are still under investigation by authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time of the accident were reportedly clear and dry. No additional information is currently available pertaining to this incident.
