2 Injured in Truck Accident on Hwy. 4 in Franklin County, NE

Franklin County, NE — November 13, 2023, two people were injured in a truck accident that took place along Highway 4 near Wilcox.

According to reports, a Pontiac Grand Prix was heading south on 27 road approaching the Highway 4 intersection when the accident occurred.

For unknown reasons, the Pontiac crashed into an 18-wheeler which had been traveling eastbound on Highway 4. Both the driver of the Pontiac and the driver of the semi truck incurred injuries as a result of the collision. The driver of the Pontiac was airlifted to a hospital for treatment, while the driver of the semi truck was taken by ambulance. There were no other injuries reported in connection with this accident.

The cause of the accident is under investigation by local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time of the accident were not reported on. There are not currently and additional details available pertaining to this incident.
