1 Killed in Truck Accident on I-55 in Bloomington, IL

Bloomington, IL — November 13, 2023, one person was killed in a truck accident at about 11:45 in the morning along Interstate 55.

According to reports, the accident took place in southwest Bloomington in the southbound lanes of I-55 in the vicinity of the I-74/I-55 divide.

The cause of the accident is unknown, but it reportedly involved multiple vehicles, one of which was an 18-wheeler towing a trailer, which was allegedly overturned in the accident.
