2 Injured in Truck Accident on I-10 in Beaumont, TX

Beaumont, TX — November 13, 2023, two people were injured in a truck accident at around 4 in the morning along Interstate 10.

Authorities report that the incident took place on westbound I-10 near Phelps Drive.

The incident allegedly took place between a Toyota Camry and an 18-wheeler which had been hauling lumber. The log truck had reportedly overturned at some point during the accident, coming to rest on its side. Both of the drivers involved incurred injuries as a result of the crash; they were each transferred to a local medical facility by emergency medical services for treatment.

The cause of the accident is unknown. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time of the accident were not reported on; however, photographs of the scene published in the news show clearly wet roads. The accident is under investigation by local authorities. No additional information is currently available in connection with this incident.
