Doyle Lane Smith Injured in Truck Accident in Roanoke, TX

Roanoke, TX — October 31, 2023, Doyle Lane Smith was injured in a truck accident just before 10 o'clock in the evening along Front Street.

According to reports, 65-year-old Doyle Lane Smith was traveling in a southbound Ford F-150 along Front Street approaching the Union Avenue intersection when the accident took place.

For unknown reasons, the F-150 failed to stop for traffic ahead caused by an occupied train crossing. As a result, the F-150 collided with the rear-end of an 18-wheeler. Smith reportedly incurred severe injuries as a result of the accident. He was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services for immediate treatment. No other injuries were reported in connection with this incident.

The causal factors in the accident are under investigation by local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time of the accident were reportedly clear and dry. No additional information is available pertaining to this incident.
