For unknown reasons, an Infinity SUV collided with the front left of the Toyota. The collision caused the Toyota to spin clockwise into the path of an 18-wheeler; the front-end of the 18-wheeler made contact with the front right of the side of the Toyota. That collision caused the Toyota to spin counter-clockwise, coming to a stop facing southeast and blocking the left two lanes of the tollway. Amin reportedly sustained severe injuries as a result of the accident. The driver of the Infinity also possibly sustained injuries. Both were transported to local medical facilities for immediate treatment.

The causal factors of the accident are still under investigation by local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time of the accident were reportedly rainy with standing water. No other details are currently available pertaining to this incident.
