One Killed, Two Injured in Tow Truck Accident on I-10 in Phoenix, AZ

According to officials, a driver and a passenger were in a vehicle that was going eastbound on I-10 when it crashed into the back of a tow truck. Reports say the tow truck came to a stop after it somehow crashed into another vehicle, causing that vehicle to spin out of control.

Due to the collision, the driver of the vehicle that hit the back of the tow truck sustained fatal injuries. Their passenger, identified only as a 60-year-old woman, had critical injuries. One other person was reportedly in stable condition.

Right now, authorities haven't mentioned any particular cause for the crash. That leaves a lot of unanswered questions. Why did the truck hit the other vehicle? What was visibility like? How much time passed between the initial collision and the second, fatal one? Are there any witnesses who can help break down the exact timing of events? These are just a few questions investigations would need to answers. That should make it pretty clear just how complex it's going to be getting answers for the victims and families involved here.
