Humberto Morin Jr. Killed, 4 Injured in Car Accident in Laredo, TX

Laredo, TX — November 8, 2023, Humberto Morin Jr. was killed and four people were injured in a head-on car accident at about 6 p.m. along Hwy. 59.

According to reports, 46-year-old Humberto Morin Jr. was traveling in a westbound Nissan on Hwy. 59 near the 818 mile marker when the accident occurred.

For unknown reasons, the Nissan veered out of the westbound lane and across into the eastbound lane of traffic. The Nissan collided head-on with an oncoming Audi SUV containing four people. Morin was declared deceased at the scene of the accident. The four victims in the Audi—two of which were allegedly girls ages 10 and 14—all incurred injuries as a result of the collision and were transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services for treatment. Their identities and conditions have not been made public.

The cause of the accident has not been confirmed; it is still under active investigation by local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time of the accident have not been reported on. There is no additional information available at this time.
