Rogelio Rodriguez Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident in San Antonio, TX

San Antonio, TX — October 6, 2023, Rogelio Rodriguez was killed in a hit-and-run car accident at about 7:40 p.m. along Bandera Road.

Authorities report that 63-year-old Rogelio Rodriguez was crossing Bandera Road on foot in the vicinity of Culebra Road when the incident occurred.

Allegedly, a tan 1998 GMC truck which had been traveling northwest on Bandera Road collided with Rodriguez as he was attempting to cross. The driver of the truck neglected to stop and render aid of any sort, fleeing the scene of the accident. Rodriguez was critically injured as a result of the accident and was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services for immediate treatment; he later succumbed to his injuries, having been declared deceased at the hospital.

The accident is still under active investigation by local authorities. Weather and road conditions in the area at the time of the accident were not reported on. There are no additional details available at this point in time.
