Jose Santos Agustin Hernandez, 1 Killed, 1 Injured in Truck Accident in Dallas, TX

UPDATE (November 17, 2023): The identity of one of the victims killed as a result of this accident has been confirmed as 28-year-old Jose Santos Agustin Hernandez.

Dallas, TX — November 11, 2023, two people were killed and another was injured in a truck accident at around 3 a.m. along Texas 310.

Authorities report that the incident happened on the Texas 310 at Great Trinity Forest Way.

Allegedly, a passenger vehicle carrying two people was traveling into oncoming traffic, resulting in a head-on collision with an 18-wheeler. The collision resulted in both vehicles bursting into flames which took 20 minutes for fire fighters to extinguish. Both of the people in the passenger vehicle—whose identities have not been confirmed—were declared deceased at the scene of the accident. The driver of the 18-wheeler reportedly incurred serious injuries as a result of the crash; they were transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services for treatment.

The cause of the accident has not been confirmed. Weather and road conditions in the area at the time of the accident have not been reported. The accident is still under active investigation by authorities; no additional information is available at this point in time.
