Hugo Flores Injured in Truck Accident in Mount Vernon, TX

Mount Vernon, TX — October 28, 2023, Hugo Flores was injured in a truck accident just after 2:30 in the afternoon along Interstate 30.

According to reports, 61-year-old Hugo Flores was traveling in a westbound Toyota Camry in the right-hand lane of Interstate 30 approaching the Holbrook Street overpass when the accident occurred.

A Chevy Tahoe was traveling in the left-hand lane next to the Camry. For unknown reasons, the Camry attempted an unsafe lane change and collided with the side of the Tahoe, causing the Tahoe to veer off of the left side of the roadway where it came to a stop. The Camry, having lost control, struck and became wedged beneath a trailer being towed by an 18-wheeler in the westbound lanes ahead.

Flores reportedly incurred severe injuries as a result of the accident; he was transferred to a local hospital by ambulance for treatment. There were no other injuries reported in connection with this accident. It is still under investigation by authorities. No additional information is currently available.
