Michael Watson, 1 Injured in Truck Accident in Corrigan, TX

Corrigan, TX — October 27, 2023, Michael Watson an one other person were injured in a truck accident just before 11:30 in the morning along U.S. 59.

According to reports, 31-year-old Michael Watson and a 28-year-old woman were traveling in a southbound Sierra along U.S. 59 approaching the Plant Road intersection when the accident occurred.

For unknown reasons, the Sierra veered left out of the southbound lanes, crossed the center lane, and entered the northbound lanes of traffic. There, it collided with an oncoming northbound 18-wheeler.

Both Watson and the 28-year-old woman in the Sierra incurred injuries as a result of the collision; Watson's injuries were reportedly severe. They were both transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services for treatment.

The accident is under investigation by authorities. Weather and road conditions in the area at the time of the accident were reportedly clear and dry. There is no additional information available at this time.
