For reasons yet to be confirmed, the Ram collided with the rear-end of an 18-wheeler. The collision caused the Ram to veer off the right side of the road and roll, coming to a rest on the passenger side. The 18-wheeler came to a stop on the west shoulder. Debris from the original collision was thrown out into the southbound lanes and was struck by a southbound Ford F-150, disabling that vehicle because of the undercarriage damage it caused.

The 42-year-old in the Ram reportedly sustained serious injuries as a result of the accident and was transported to a local medical facility by EMS for treatment. No other injuries were reported in connection with this accident. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time of the accident were reportedly rainy and wet. The accident is still under investigation. No additional information is currently available.
