1 Injured in Truck Accident on F.M. 51 in Wise County, TX

Wise County, TX — October 24, 2023, one person was injured in a truck accident at 12:45 in the afternoon along Farm to Market 51.

Authorities report that the accident took place at the intersection of the State Highway 114 off-ramp and Farm to Market 51.

A 70-year-old woman was traveling in a Nissan Sentra which was attempting to enter F.M. 51 from the off-ramp for S.H. 114. For reasons which are unclear, the Nissan collided with an 18-wheeler which was southbound on Farm to Market 51. The woman, whose identity has not yet been confirmed, reportedly sustained severe injuries as a result of the crash. She was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services for treatment. The driver of the 18-wheeler also reportedly sustained injuries and was transported for treatment, as well.

The causal factors of the accident are still under active investigation by authorities. The weather and driving conditions in the area at the time of the accident were reportedly rainy and wet. There are no additional details available at this time.
