Matthew Meyer Injured in Dump Truck Accident in Cascade Township, MN

Cascade Township, MN — November 2, 2023, Matthew Meyer was injured in a dump truck accident just after 11:45 in the morning along U.S. 63.

According to reports, 30-year-old Matthew Meyer was traveling in an eastbound Ford Transit on U.S. 63 between River Road and Broadway Avenue when the incident occurred.

For unknown reasons, the Ford Transit rear-ended a dump truck, which had been stopped in order to make a left turn off of the highway. Emergency workers reportedly had to extricate Meyer from the van before he was airlifted to a hospital for treatment of injuries incurred as a result of the incident. No other injuries were reported in connection with the accident.

The causal factors of the incident are under investigation by authorities. Weather and road conditions in the area at the time of the accident were not reported on. There are not any additional details available at this point in time.
