1 Injured in Truck Accident on Hwy. 183 in Austin, TX

Austin, TX — November 8, 2023, one person was injured in a truck accident at around 8:30 in the evening along Highway 183.

Authorities state that the incident occurred along U.S. Highway 183 near the McNeil Drive overpass.

The cause of the accident is no known. The collision involved a pickup truck an 18-wheeler. The crash between the two vehicles resulted in the pickup being sent over the Hwy. 183 retaining wall and coming to rest upright on area beside the shoulder.

The driver of the pickup truck—whose identity has not been confirmed—had to be extricated from their vehicle by emergency workers before being transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries incurred during the accident. The accident is still under investigation by authorities. There are no additional details available at this time.
