Billy Sanders Jr. Killed in Motorcycle Accident in Mesquite, TX

Mesquite, TX — October 3, 2023, Billy Sanders Jr. was killed due to a motorcycle accident at around 7:30 p.m. along Gus Thomasson Road.

Preliminary statements from authorities say that the accident happened at the intersection of Gus Thomasson Road and Tam O' Shanter Drive.

According to officials, 57-year-old Billy Sanders Jr. was on a motorcycle said to be going northbound on Gus Thomasson. Up ahead at Tam O' Shanter, authorities say a westbound vehicle may have failed to yield, entering the path of Sanders's motorcycle. The two vehicles collided, ejecting Sanders from the bike.

Due to the collision, Sanders sustained fatal injuries. There were no other reported injuries mentioned by authorities. Currently, additional details are unavailable.
