1 Injured in Dump Truck Accident on I-95 in Ashley, DE

Ashley, DE — November 6, 2023, 1 person was injured in a dump truck accident at around 2:45 in the afternoon along Interstate 95.

The accident reportedly took place just south of the Christina River Bridge on Interstate 95.

First responders arrived on the scene to find a dump truck with its drivers side resting on the top of a concrete barrier. A sedan which had also been involved in the accident had a large boulder inside it, which had been ejected from the dump truck. One person from the sedan had to be extricated and was transported to a local hospital by emergency medical services for treatment of injuries incurred during the accident.

The cause of the accident is unknown. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time of the accident were not reported on. The incident is under investigation by authorities. No additional details are currently available.
