2 Injured in Dump Truck Accident on Wheeler Road in Madison, WI

Madison, WI — November 6, 2023, two people were injured in a dump truck accident just before 11:30 a.m. along Wheeler Road.

According to reports, first responders were called to the scene of an accident at the intersection of Wheeler Road and Sherman Avenue.

Emergency workers arrived on the scene to find a dump truck had somehow rolled and was resting in a roadside ditch on its right side. One of the victims had been able to get out of the truck without the assistance of emergency workers, but the second victim was assisted by first responders, who utilized their emergency equipment in the endeavor.

Both of the victims—whose identities have not been made public—were transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries incurred as a result of the accident. The cause of the incident is still unknown; it is under investigation by authorities. There are no additional details available at this time.
