1 Killed in Truck Accident on U.S. 49 in Covington County, MS

Covington County, MS — November 7, 2023, one person was killed in a truck accident in the morning along U.S. Highway 49.

According to reports, the accident occurred at the intersection of southbound U.S. 49 and Kay Lane.

The cause of the accident is unknown. Emergency Services were called to the scene of the accident which involved an SUV and an 18-wheeler. The occupant of the SUV was declared dead at the scene. No additional injuries were reported in connection with this accident.
